Hazel Hayden is a Nurse Consultant, British Menopause Society Registered Specialist and Trainer with more than three decades of NHS experience. She is the founder of the Bristol Menopause Clinic, the Bristol Health Hub, and Supplements by Hazel. Her mission is to support both women and men in achieving long-term health and wellness, addressing physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.

Hazel began her healthcare career as a specialist nurse in cardiovascular and respiratory health, which gave her a deep understanding of prevention and chronic disease management. In 2006, after the birth of her two sons, she expanded her expertise into women’s health, covering menstrual health, perimenopause, menopause, and healthy ageing. Her practice also includes a strong focus on men’s health, particularly testosterone health, cardiovascular risk reduction, weight management, and lifestyle optimisation.

With over 36 years in the NHS and 19 years in Primary Care, Hazel is recognised for her holistic and personalised approach. She integrates clinical care with nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sleep strategies to improve long-term wellbeing. She holds a Master’s degree in Sexual Health in Menopause and a Diploma in Nutrition, allowing her to combine medical expertise with practical lifestyle guidance. Alongside her clinical work, Hazel trains healthcare professionals across the UK in women’s health, men’s health, and midlife wellness.

Her personal menopause journey also drove her to develop Supplements by Hazel. Frustrated by the poor quality and high cost of many supplements, often full of fillers and with minimal active ingredients, she spent two years researching clean, effective formulations. The result is a range of high-quality, additive-free supplements designed to support the diverse needs of both women and men.
